Однако масштабное исследование ученых и психологов из университета Невады, проводившееся в течение 20 лет среди 70 тыс. жителей 27 стран мира, показало, что книга - невидимый член семьи, оказывающий на будущее образование ребенка не меньшее воздействие, чем родители.
Детство, проведенное в доме без книг, по сравнению с домом с библиотекой в 500 книг и более, оказывает такое же влияние на будущее образование ребенка, как и различия в образовании родителей - от церковно-приходской школы до университета.
По статистике, образованность родителей толкает ребенка к получению образования в течение срока на 3,2 года выше среднего. *WRITE* Однако ровно такой же эффект производит и наличие в семье большой библиотеки, вне зависимости от образовательного уровня родителей. Таким образом, дети не высоко образованных родителей, живущих в сельскохозяйственных областях, могут двигаться к знаниям через книги - именно этот путь должно избрать государство при поддержке образования.
«Создание домашней библиотеки - эффективный и недорогой путь помочь детям добиться успехов. 🙂 Такой подход был бы очень хорош как долгосрочные инвестиции, они вне сомнения окупятся», - считает автор исследования профессор Мария Эванс.

09.08.2010 17:16Отличное исследование и я в его верности убеждена на все 100. Наличие домашней библиотеки важное слагаемое образованности ребенка и его стремлению к получению знаний. Но не соглашусь с тем, что создание такой библиотеки - недорогой путь. В том году покупали ребенку серию энциклопедических книг - потратили солидную сумму.
