В последнее время актриса очень серьезно болела и врачи прикладывали все усилия, для ее выздоровления. Сильно пошатнуло здоровье Людмилы Гурченко недавнее происшествие. Во время прогулки с собачкой, она подскользнулась, упала и сломала шейку бедра. Перелом шейки бедра для людей старше 70 лет обычно является смертельным, но врачи сделали оптимистические прогнозы, так как сам перелом оказался не сильно сложным.
На следующий же день, Людмиле Марковне провели успешно операцию. Уже к 8 марта она была дома, правда ходить могла с трудом, с помощью специальных ходунков.
Умерла актриса у себя дома от сердечного приступа. У Людмилы Гурченко давно были проблемы с сердцем. Кроме того многочисленные пластические операции и недавнее происшествие не могли пройти бесследно.
Людмила Гурченко является уроженкой Украины, родилась в 1935 году в Харькове. Первый раз она появилась в кино в 1956 году, снявшись в фильме "Дорога правды". В этом же году она снялась в фильме "Карнавальная ночь". Там Людмила Марковна сыграла молодую официантку. Также, в этом фильме, ее запомнили по песне "Пять минут", которая впоследствии стала символом Нового года.
В дальнейшем Людмила Гурченко снялась во многих фильмах (около 100), многие из которые становились настоящими хитами. За многие фильмы ее награждали премиями за лучшую женскую роль.
